BSc degree in Computer Science or a comparable degree in Computer Science. Your grade point average must be (by the German scale) 3.0 or better.

Please apply, no matter your nationality, on the Uni-Assist Online Portal. After logging in, select Application –-> Universities (Master) –-> North Rhine Westphalia –-> Paderborn.

  • four main areas:
    • Software Technology and Information Systems
    • Models and Algorithms
    • Embedded Systems and System Software
    • Human-Machine Interaction
  • one area of specialisation (chosen out of the main areas stated above)
  • optional: minor subject or general education (e.g. German language)
  • a one-year student project group
  • master thesis

The course can also be studied in German with a compulsory component in English (24 ECTS).

Auslandsstudium Das Institut für Informatik unterhält Partnerschaften mit verschiedenen ausländischen Universitäten, u.a. in den USA, Australien, China, Indien, Großbritannien und Italien. Im Rahmen dieser Kooperationen sind Studienaufenthalte im Ausland möglich.
